Our Perceptions of New Zealand

  • Very hot climate

  • Palm trees and beaches

  • People wear shorts and T-shirts

  • People sit and eat outside at restaurants

  • The main dish served at a restaurant would be fish

  • The people would be very sun tanned

  • Many Ice cream shops and cold foods, for example salads

  • Tropical Rainforests

  • Large towns

  • High population

  • Makes a lot of stuff that we sell here

  • Situated over the other side of the world

  • Some people speak maori

  • Very bleak countryside

  • Twice as big as the UK

  • I think it is attached to Australia

  • The people look no different to us

  • They speak English and maori

  • There native culture is maori

  • People have been living there for hundreds of years

  • The climate is very hot.

  • They have wet and dry seasons.

  • Dry grass lands

  • And lush forests

  • Rare animals live there. eg. Koala bears, kangaroos and chinchillas

  • Lots of beaches

  • Water sports

  • A rich wild life

  • They have cites and villages
