Middle Schools are uniquely placed in terms of their structure. They combine good general teaching and specialist input. In addition to their teaching function such teachers are available to give advice and help to non-specialist colleagues. This school aims to provide a smooth transition from primary based teaching experienced in first schools to the more specialised delivery of the secondary school.
The school provides good counselling both on a class basis and at senior management level. We aim to maintain a secure environment at an age of rapid development, which includes appropriate help and advice. Our aim is for children to feel very much at home in a family atmosphere of the middle school.
The home-school partnership is also a factor in each child's development at
Bilbrook Middle School and it forms yet another bridge between primary and secondary practice.
We aim to provide a lively, relevant and stimulating education and intend to provide this in a variety of ways including the provision of educational visits and other opportunities for the children.
In doing this we intend to provide every child with the opportunity to reach his / her full potential and give full encouragement so that each child can successfully meet their targets.
