| This is a Victorian Kettle. It would be
placed on top of a cooker. To get hot, steam would come
out of the spout when the water was boiled. Modern Kettles use electricity to heat the water and the kettle cliks when the water is ready. If you look carefully you can sometimes find kettles that boil on the fire in the shops but they are much lighter than the Victorian Kettles and are made to save energy. |
