Berkshire Branch
Berkshire Branch holds meetings during the summer at various
locations. Parents' social evenings are at members houses. Age
range is 5 -12.
Birmingham Branch
Birmingham Branch meets at the Walker Hall, Ampton Road,
Edgbaston, and for outside visits. Activities are planned for
selected sunday afternoons 2.15 -5pm. Age range is 1 - 12.
Cambridge Branch
CAMBRIDGE EXPLORERS' CLUB
Non-members are very welcome to come and try sessions. Before
attending please contact HeadQuarters at Milton Keynes. We
usually meet in the Community Wing at Impington Village College,
Histon from 10:30 - 12:30 on the second Saturday of each month.
Explorers' Club is run by its member parents which helps to keep
admission charges low. We aim to provide stimulating activities
for children. Sessions draw upon the expertise of parents and
outside leaders. Parents discussions are led by parents,
teachers, counsellors and others interested in the needs of able
children. Members £2 per child, max £6 per familly, no charge
for under 4's of family members. Non-members £5 per family for
the first two visits.
Dorset Branch.
Dorset Branch meets every two to three weeks on Saturday
afternoons at St Joseph's Hall, Archway Road, Branksome, Poole.
The age range is from 4 to 13.
There are occasional Parents Group meetings at individual homes
or at Explorers meetings.
We meet at 'The Fold', 72 Laindon Road,
Billericay on the second Sunday of each month, except July and
August, from 2.45pm to 5pm. We have children attending from about
2yrs up to 13yrs, although the majority are 4 - 11'ish. (Primary
age).
We have plenty of space in our new premises and so have separate
Mini-Explorers / Under5's activities starting in September.
We have also suggested in our newsletter that the older members
(secondary age) might like a room to organise their own
activities; they may need a session or two organised for them to
get them started, so we have a couple of ideas at the planning
stage.
South Hertfordshire Branch.
South Hertfordshire Branch meets on the 1st Sunday of each month
at Furze Hill Middle School, Furze Hill Road, Borehamwood.
2.30pm-5pm. Age range 3-14 years.

Gloucestershire Branch
Gloucestershire Branch meets approximately every fortnight on
saturday afternoons during term-time at venues throughout the
County. Age range is 3 -12.
Greater Manchester & Cheshire
Saturday Club.
Greater Manchester & Cheshire Saturday Club meets and uses
the facilities of a large secondary school in Marple, near
Stockport: alternate Saturdays in Winter and Spring terms and
occasionally through the year. Activities for all ages, including
Under 5's and teenagers.

A new group, which meets at Dane Court Grammar School,
Broadstairs
An occasional programme of talks and discussions for parents runs
parrallel with the children's activities. The age range covers
5-10 year olds.
In addition FAMILY OUTINGS to places of interest in South East
England, often making use of the educational facilities available
to school parties, are arranged on weekdays duing half terms and
most other school holidays.

Lincolnshire and South Humberside
Branch.
Lincoln Branch meets at St Mary's School, Lincoln. Meetings are
usually on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 2- 5 pm. and
the activities cater for the 4 - 11 age range. Activities so far
have been:- fossils, the human body, drama, art, music and
technology.
London North West.
London North West Explorers' Club meets in Kilburn, usually on
the 2nd Saturday of each month between 2 and 4.30pm. and the
activities cater for the age group up to 12.
The Branch has also opened an Explorers+ Club with activities
focussed on the interests of 11-15 yr teenagers. Activities are
as diverse as Bell Ringing, Quantum Theory and Architecture. Get

London South West (Kingston).
London South West Explorers' Club meets weekly in Kingston
University on Saturdays betwen 2.30 and 4.30. The activities
cater for the age group 4 - 14.

Tyne & Wear (Newcastle on Tyne)
Branch.
Tyne & Wear Explorers' Club meets at Whicham School,
Burnthouse Lane, Whickham, on (approx) 3rd Saturday of the month
2 -4 pm. For children aged 2-14 years. Parents' group runs during
activities.

West Yorkshire Branch
West Yorkshire Branch Explorers' Club meets monthly at Dixons CTC in Bradford, minutes away from the city centre bus and rail stations and M62/M606 motorways. Activities in 1999 have included a visit from Gwen Butler (of Pet Rescue fame) and her house rabbits, a talk about friction and floating pennies, a discussion about intelligent devices( is Furbey really alive?), a view of the endangered leather-backed turtle, and a study of real live (or dead)skeleton bones of a medieval monk.
Parents have started lively discussions and there is a treasure chest of arts and crafts for younger ones: a war gaming/role playing is planned for senior children (12 up, if they donn't want to join in the regular events.

Wiltshire Branch.
Wiltshire Branch meetings are at Dauntseys Aided Primary School,
Devizes, on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 2 and 4pm. The
age range catered for is from 4 to 12 yrs. The meetings operate
on the basis that paents accompany their children.
York Branch.
York Branch meets fortnightly in term time on Saturdays.
Activities for 3-13 year olds, and parents' group during
activities.
