Ice Skating Trip
At the ice rink everybody’s feet
were wet and cold.
By gliding and swooping across the
ice.
Next a friend fell and rolled.
Why everybody stopped and stared.
Nobody broke any bones.
That was a relief my teacher said.
There were two different zones
Starter and advance.
As warm as the coasts beaches.
The ice trainers taught us to
skate.
The echo of the children’s
screeches.
When they were excited.
Sun as bright as a disco ball.
The wall shading us from its glare.
Then waiting in the queue at the
hot choclate stall.
Dissolving marshmallow’s in between
the froffy choclate top.
The snow has laid on the ice like a
sheet.
Although there was a lot of heat.
Rising from our feet.
The children had a fantastic treat.
