Ice Skating Poems

Ice Skating

As flaky as the snow,

As slippy is the ice,

I was shivering while skating,

The ice rink was white as rice.

As solid as the fence,

It was warm in the ice skating tent,

Skating is so enjoyable,

I’m glad I didn’t have an accident.

The ice is thick as rock,

Falling sounds like a big crash,

My teeth were grinding while I was skating,

The ice was wet, but I couldn’t splash!

The hot chocolate is as hot as a fire,

Marshmallows as soft as cotton wool,

My feet are wet but I don’t care,

Because this day is wonderful.

Ice skating trip

As white as the snow,

All playful and nice.

As slippy as a banana skin

All made out of ice.

The sun as warm as the summer holidays,

The sky was as bright as the brightest light.

The air was full of expectation.

Pop music all around us like a disco night.

Joyful and happy people all around

Watching and smiling

On the ice we were bound

As people go along gliding.

Squidgy was the marshmallow,

Hot was our drinking chocolate

It was lovely to swallow.

We all hoped the bus was late.

Ice Skating Trip

At the ice rink everybody’s feet were wet and cold.

By gliding and swooping across the ice.

Next a friend fell and rolled.

Why everybody stopped and stared.

Nobody broke any bones.

That was a relief my teacher said.

There were two different zones

Starter and advance.

As warm as the coasts beaches.

The ice trainers taught us to skate.

The echo of the children’s screeches.

When they were excited.

Sun as bright as a disco ball.

The wall shading us from its glare.

Then waiting in the queue at the hot choclate stall.

Dissolving marshmallow’s in between the froffy choclate top.

The snow has laid on the ice like a sheet.

Although there was a lot of heat.

Rising from our feet.

The children had a fantastic treat.

ICE  SKATING  TRIP

It was as cold as the North Pole.

The ice was very bright white.

It’s as slippy as a banana skin.

The sun was as bright as a car light.

At the end you could be soaking wet.

When you fall it will end with an ouch!

The barrier will be your saviour.

If you fall it’s not like a soft couch.

Nobody was petrified when we got there.

The teachers said we behaved very well.

Our feet were soaking at the end,

no joints ended in a swell.

Everyone had a smile.

The music was extremely good.

Nobody broke any bones.

Nobody needed a waterproof hood.

Ice Skating Trip

The ice thick as a dictionary.

It was really fantastic.

We were sliding across the ice.

I was smooth and majestic.

It was so brilliant.

It was so bright.

We were slipping all over the place.

Sun shone in a fantastic light.

As flaky as Ready Brek.

Crystallised was the ice.

Mrs Williams was shivering.

The ice was as white as rice.

Shavings as thin as paper.

As cold as the north pole.

As crisp as Walkers crisps.

I enjoyed it with my heart and soul.
