Extra Curricular Activities
Extra curricular activities are strongly encouraged. Clubs and societies operate in the lunch hour or after school and include orchestra, choir, drama, athletics, maths, computing, badminton and other outdoor pursuits. Support is also given to various national and local charities. During the year, subject based field trips are arranged, as well as excursions in this country and abroad of a social and educational nature.
There is a full range of sports teams which compete in the area and regional competitions, with a high degree of success.

Preparation for the Wider World
Links to business and industry plays a fundamental part in preparing for life. All pupils will experience:
- Careers teaching within P.S.H.E. and tutorial lessons.
- Specific advice on subject choices in Years 9,10 & 11.
- Individual interviews with a Careers Officer
- An annual Careers convention attended by a large number of employers and further education establishments.
- A selection of talks and seminars from representatives of business and industry
- "Industry Days" where they work with representative from local industries, to learn how business in Years 7 to 10
- 1 weeks Work Experience in year 11.
