Most of you will be 13 years old now, and will have been on several summer holidays with your folks (parents, guardians, etc). These holidays may not always have been to the destination of your choice, or involved the activities that you want to do. This project offers you a chance to put that right, choosing where you want to go, and what you want to do. You will create a presentation to whoever "holds the pursestrings" in your household, to persuade them to pay for/take your holiday. Make it as realistic as you can. This first lesson will involve a lot of thinking, and you should talk through with your folks what a realistic budget would be.
Outcomes
A Word document with a title page, eg Wayne's Holiday Project, Table of Contents page, Introduction.
The introduction will explain what the project is about:
(i) who you are aiming your final presentation at, and
(ii) your choice of holiday (Note: this makes the project more manageable, eg Ski-ing in France, Beach in Cornwall, Centreparcs somewhere in the UK)
Any constraints need to be stated. (eg must cater for wheelchairs, no bus travel, total cost less than £1,000).
Expect your Introduction to be at least half a page long.
Save this Word document as your project diary, eg Tenerife diary; you will add to it during the project.
