GCSE Mentor Scheme

In Years 10 and 11, pupils who are regarded as 'borderline' candidates for at least 5 passes at grades A* - C, and pupils who need extra help, are supported through a series of meetings with their personal 'mentor'. This is a teacher who helps the pupil to set and achieve realistic targets and prepare effectively for the examinations. This system has been shown to maximise the pupil's potential for success at GCSE.
