Special Educational Needs
All pupils at Northfleet School for Boys are special - each one is viewed as an individual.
The school provides specialist help for pupils suffering from Dyslexia, and is a centre of excellence in its support for those pupils diagnosed as having Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome, which is often confused with Dyslexia. Surprisingly large numbers of young people are found to suffer from this condition which makes reading very difficult, causing headaches and fatigue. To date, over 50 pupils benefit from the specially tinted spectacles and coloured filters designed to help them read without difficulty or discomfort.
