A very successful series of conferences on The European Community is held at Plinston Hall just before Christmas each year. This involves all Year 12 pupils in the town. The format is based on material sppplied by the Federal Trust who also provide speakers of international eminence such as Sir Anthony Meyer, Bill Couzens and Professor Geoffrey Dalton.

There is a considerable amount of group work and the group are facilitated by members of the Letchworth community.
