| New Framework manual in preparation for Spring
2010
Scottish 2008 Spring Conference |
|
A new manual for Framework for Intervention to replace the best selling 'Getting Started' is expected to be published in the new year. Taking account of the latest development in government guidance and OFSTED approaches, the manual will also use the techniques gained from 12 years of Framework work using ideas gained from Solution Focussed and other psychological methods. In addition, information from the Framework hosted courses on Difficult Conversations have been used to develop the guidance on working with colleagues. Amanda Daniels, Framework Development Manager, commented: "This work will benefit from the wealth of experience we have had working with Behaviour Coordinators in hundreds of schools since we invented the role of the BeCo back in 1997." "In some ways the need for F4i is even greater now as successive alternative approaches have failed to lead to the substantial improvements looked for. Schools who have tried other methods are coming back to the tried, tested and successful approaches of F4i. It's this interest that has stimulated the development of new courses and materials." The new F4i manual and courses will be announced on this site as soon as possible.
