Welcome to the Living Room

This is the place to set down, have a chat and a coffee.
For arguements sake, continue a discussion...

Number 1 - TV

Soaps are for people who cannot face up to discussions on their own. TV is the death of discussion. Documentaries are about extreme people and do not tell us anything about our lives. Star Trek is American Capitalism at its most horrible. Friends, Who's line is it anyway?, The Day Today and Have I got news for you are passably good TV.
Number 2 - Diets

Everyone is "on a diet". Nobody needs to eat anything. Metabolic rate is a popularist myth based on a calculation and tells everyone nothing. If you skip a meal or two then it will mess you up - fact. Meat is already dead.
Number 3 - Marriage

Does not change people. Being married is no different to being not-married. But it is a particularly good party and some commitment. Don't get married if you can't make the commitment, but don't shag someone more than twice either. If you can live with your partner, you can marry them. Marriage must be allowed between all persons regardless of sex.
Number 4 - Censorship

Swear, Swear, Swear, Porn, Porn, Porn, Sex, Gay, Black, Short, Bald.
Did that scare you or intimidate you, or challenge your pre-conditions? Good. I don't want to impose on your space because I choose not to. If someone does, there is very little which can be done to stop them. We may well condone it, but that will probably not stop them. Hurting them will not help them, but may well make you feel better. Discussion is more important than condonement. Why is the behaviour abhorent or imposing to you?
I don't like being watched, because I watch myself all the time. If my behaviour offends I change it, or challenge you to change. Then we can grow.

If you want to discuss it, get in contact with me.
