SCHOOL NEWS - 25TH JANUARY 1999
Dear Parents and Friends,
School Inspection
You will know from a previous letter that the school is to
be inspected later this term. The leader of the inspection team
had proposed to hold a meeting for parents on Tuesday of next
week. I have now been told that she has had to withdraw from the
inspection process and the team will now be led by Mr. David
Curtis. Unfortunately, he is unable to attend this meeting and so
it must now be held on Wednesday 3rd February at 7.00pm. The
inspection team apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Pringles Tops for Sports
We have registered with Pringles Tops for Sports
programme. This scheme will provide the school with FREE top
quality sports equipment in exchange for foil tops from tubes of
Pringles. Please collect these foil tops and send them into
school. The scheme will run until 25th June 1999, so we have the
opportunity to collect quite a few tops to help supplement our PE
equipment. Any further details can be obtained from Mrs. Smaje,
P.E. Co-ordinator.
Tesco Computers for School
This offer starts again on 1st February, until 11th April.
(Asda are not running an offer this year and we have yet to
receive details from Sainsbury's). Can we ask for a big effort
from those of you who favour Tesco, where they are giving 1
voucher/£10 in shop and petrol station. Last year you
collected well over 30,000 vouchers and got 3 computers. Our
needs are still great as old ones wear out, and as we look
forward to our network cabling being installed. We are therefore
setting a target of 45,000 vouchers! This will earn 3 computers
and a network server, which will simplify the use of our
computers and allow children more time for learning. Please ask
all your friends, neighbours and relations to collect for us.
Yours sincerely,
P.R. Fleming
Headteacher
