Sir Henry Cooper School is organised in Faculties. These are:

Pastoral

There are five Heads of Year, each with a Deputy. Teams of form tutors stay with pupils throughout their school career.

Curriculum

Key Stage 3
All pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, French, History, Geography, Religious Education, Art, Music, Drama, Physical Education, Craft Design and Technology, Home Economics and Personal and Social Education. All pupils follow a Computer Awareness Course. Those who wish to study a second foreign language may be offered the opportunity to take German at the beginning of Year 9. Key Stage 4
All pupils follow GCSE courses in at least nine subjects. GNVQ courses also operate in conjunction with Hull College.

Homework

All pupils are regularly set work to be done at home according to a schedule prepared each year. Parents are asked to provide facilities necessary and to encourage their children to do homework properly and conscientiously.
