Micholotti provided the complete redesign
with a wider and longer pressed steel body. It had a full synchromesh gearbox,
collapsible steering column, servo brakes and a surrey top that preceded
Porche's Targa top. The 4A had full independent rear suspension and although
this improved the ride and comfort, the 4s performance was not improved
over the original TR2
