The TR7 is a 2 seater, unitary pressed steel shell, designed by Harris Mann with a 2 litre version of the 1850 Dolomite engine. Good performance with economy, but initially only available as a hard top.  In 1979 the drophead, 5 speed gear box improved things. The Rover V8 was shoe-horned in to provide beastly performance, mostly exported and only a handful produced for the UK market before TR production finally closed in 1981.
