Whilst the pupils are most important at Portfield, there are many adults working and achieving together in our School.  To find out more about the teachers and staff working in each class at Portfield click on the “Our Classes” link. 

This page will give you information on the other staff who are not all attached to a specific class but are still very important to the way we all work together at our school.

Mrs Jan Barnett is our Assistant Primary Head. She teaches in Class 1 and is also our Outreach Teacher.

Kate, Sheila and Thelms are the first smiling faces you will see if you visit us at Portfield and the voices you will hear if you telephone. They run the Reception area and the office

Juliet and Alison are our speech and language assistants. Sam teaches accelerated literacy.Sian co-ordinates physiotherapy. They work with children from different classes. Gareth is our ICT technician.

One of our favourite parts of the school day is lunchtime. Mo and her team work hard to give us healthy meals every day.

Mr, Keith Halls is our Caretaker and looks after the buildings at the School.  He is also one of the minibus drivers which transport some of the pupils to and from the school and take them out into the community to learn more about everyday life and the town and countryside around us.
