The whole school had the afternoon off on Tuesday 29th June to celebrate the 400th Birthday of the school. Everyone went up to the rugby fields where there was a Metro FM Roadshow. Members of staff, and students, demonstrated their "talent" on the stage, singing along to various songs. Hundreds of helium-balloons were released in a competition to see who's could get the furthest to win a video recorder. Fortunately they did not distract the RAF Tornado pilots who did a Fly-By especially. The famous cake was cut by Headteacher Tony Webster (who managed to stay off the talent stage all afternoon), and everyone had a slice. As soon as photo's of the afternoon are available they will be up here - so keep an eye on the page. | ||
