Weather Video
ReviewDeveloped by the BBC in conjunction with the Met Office and
schools. The video is modular in format and allows teachers and
pupils to access separate sections. It covers basic weather concepts
such as observation and data recording along with more sophisticated
concepts such as remote sensing from satellite and the use of
synoptic charts.
It is suitable for Key Stages 3 and 4 and the Teacher's Pack has 11
A3 worksheets which can be photocopied, a 24 page booklet and a
satellite image for use with worksheets.
The video is a model of clarity and is useful at a variety of levels
(see samples below). It is very easy to locate each section with the
on-screen time indicator and there are clear titles. Animations and
images are of high quality.
