General Situation
A ridge of high pressure covers much of the United Kingdom. This
will give way over the next 36-48 hours to a series of Atlantic
fronts.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
Widespread mist and fog across the county should thin during
the course of the morning to leave a mainly dry day with the
possibility of some sunny spells later. The light north-westerly
breeze will back more south-westerly towards this evening and
ease resulting in another frosty night with mist and fog forming
around dawn. Today's top temperature 5C falling to -2C
overnight.
Outlook for the next few days:
Mostly dry tomorrow, although cloud will develop from the west
later bringing the risk of some light rain. Continued unsettled on
Weds & Thurs with Thurs looking particularly wet.

General Situation
An occlusion is moving very slowly eastwards across the UK. A
ridge of high pressure building from the SW over the next 36 hours
will keep a succession of Atlantic fronts at bay.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
A dull and damp beginning to the day across the county. With
little movement along the front affecting much of the UK today,
drizzle and/or light rain will be generally persistent leading
towards a murky night. The top temperature 4C, falling to 2C
through the night. The gentle southerly breeze will tend to veer
and become north-westerly as high pressure nudges in from the
south-west.
Outlook for the next few days:
The front will linger around through Wednesday giving another
dull and damp day, but becoming drier later and into Thursday
as high pressure develops across the east.

General Situation
A front still straddles the length of the United Kingdom bringing
damp and dull conditions to many parts. A ridge of high pressure
is building behind from the south-west and also from the east.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
Another dull and damp morning with widespread mist and fog.
However, as pressure continues to build it should become drier
and brighter this afternoon. The top temperature 5C. Winds
mostly light northerlies becoming calm overnight. Clear skies
and the calm conditions will lead to further mist and fog this
evening. The overnight minimum falling to 0C.
Outlook for the next few days:
Fog clearing tomorrow morning and then a window of fine weather
before further cloud and rain spreads eastwards. A fine spell late
on Friday, before cold & possibly wintry showers push S on Sat.

General Situation
High pressure over the British Isles is giving way to a succession
of Atlantic fronts.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
Treacherous driving conditions across the county this morning
thanks to extensive freezing fog. The day should stay generally
dry, but the fog will be somewhat persistent especially in the
west. Where the fog does manage to lift temperatures may rise
to around 4C. Rain will spread from the west overnight preceded
by sleet. The overnight minimum around 0C. The current light
north-westerly breeze will back south-westerly later and pick up.
Outlook for the next few days:
Rain at first tomorrow but becoming drier and brighter later. Turning
milder on Saturday with rain, mainly dry on Sunday.

General Situation
Weather fronts currently lie across the British Isles being slow
to move as low pressure works it way southwards.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
Yet another murky morning across the county with widespread
fog, quite dense in places. However, temperatures have been
rising through the night and the morning is fairly mild compared
with the last few days. With very light winds and persistent
cloud, the fog will be slow to clear today and temperatures will
reach a high of around 6C. Drizzle will continue off and on during
the day and through the night.
Outlook for the next few days:
Another cloudy day with rain at times tomorrow. Continuing
unsettled into Sunday and early next week with low pressure
dominating the scene.

Low pressure covers the whole of the United Kingdom with a
succession of weather fronts moving in from the south-west.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
Following a fairly wet day yesterday, the county has come through
a largely dry night. However, further fronts will bring rain for this
afternoon. Before the rain arrives, cloud will tend to be persistent,
perhaps the small possibility of one or two brief bright spells this
morning. Winds generally moderate south-westerlies. The top
temperature 9C. The winds will strengthen overnight as the rain
pushes through. The minimum temperature 7C.

Intense low moving slowly north-eastwards across the United
Kingdom. Strong and gusty south-westerly winds across the
south.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
The strong south or south-westerly wind will be the main feature
of the weather today with gusts reaching 60mph in exposed areas.
Blustery showers have already passed through the county and
these will continue through the day, broken up by spells of
sunshine. The top temperature a mild 10C. Clear periods will
become more widespread this evening, although there could be
an isolated shower. Winds remaining strong. Minimum 6C.
Outlook for the next few days:
Generally dry through tomorrow and with winds easing a touch.

An area of low pressure developing to the south will move north-
wards over the next 24-36hrs. Low pressure centred over central
Scotland will continue to fill.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
There will be some good spells of sunshine today, although the
moderate south-westerly wind will draw in a few rogue showers
during the course of the morning, although many areas could
escape with a dry day. The top temperature 10C. Winds will ease
overnight, but increasing cloud later in the night will bring rain
around dawn. The minimum temperature 4C.
Outlook for the next few days:
With a fresh area of low pressure in charge, tomorrow will remain
generally dull and overcast with fairly prolonged rain. Not much

General Situation
Low pressure centred over the English Channel is producing
heavy rain across the south. A narrow ridge of high pressure will
build from the west over the next 24 hours.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
It will remain generally cloudy today with some occasional rain
during the course of the morning, but the afternoon should turn
brighter. Winds will remain generally northerly in direction keeping
temperatures pegged back at around 5C. Quite a cold night to
follow with a widespread frost, temperatures likely to fall as low
as -5C. Any isolated showers which survive into the afternoon
could be wintry in nature.
Outlook for the next few days:
A frosty start to the day tomorrow, but with high pressure in charge,
it will remain dry with some reasonable sunshine. It will be cold,
however, with another overnight frost expected.

High pressure is building across the south of the British Isles.
Further Atlantic lows will push eastwards eroding the high over
the next 24-36 hours.
The Forecast for Northamptonshire
Following an overnight frost, the county is waking to a reasonably
bright morning. There is some cloud around, but as high pressure
builds the day will remain dry with some good periods of winter
sunshine. Winds will remain generally light, but will strengthen in
the early hours as the next low pressure system makes in-roads.
Today's top temperature 6C falling to -1C overnight. Rain will
arrive late in the night.
Outlook for the next few days:
