During this spring term as last year, Bor's school takes part in an international weather project, MetLink International. The project's aim is to exchange and analyse weather data in an appropriate way.

The schools are required to have simple measuring equipment, but some schools have automatic weather stations.

Every day from the pupils from year 8 have measured temperatures (including max and min), rainfall (snowfall), air pressure, wind-force, wind direction and cloudiness. At the same time they have made a short description of the weather. Readings have been made at 07.30 GMT every day. During the morning the readings have then been sent to a database on the project's English home page. After half an hour the readings have appeared on the home page together with weather descriptions and comments on special weather situations. During the 1999 Metlink project we had reports from the north of Sweden.of temperatures down to nearly -50° C

The following weeks the results will be presented in the form of graphs and comparisons can be made as to the correlation of temperature to latitude.
