He visited St Peter and St Paul C of E Primary School with Helen Civil of the BBC on Wednesday 7 February 2001.

The pictures show classroom activities and outdoor activities. The children who made the observations were aged 6 and 7, i.e. Year 2, but other children in the school were involved in MetLink. The children making the paper umbrellas were Year 1. The children who made the observations, i.e. those shown in the field, were the youngest taking part in the observational programme of MetLink this year.
