We are the students from Thorpe school who will be recording the 
weather in Thorpe for the next few weeks.  
 
Our names are: 
Matthew- 11 years old; Luke- 11 years old; John- 11 years old; 
Jake- 10 years old; Tim- 10 years old; Ben- 9 years old. 
 
We will start recording the weather on Monday 31st of Jan. 
 
Time: We will record at mid-day each day. 
 
The latitude of our school is: 53 degrees 11mins North 
The longitude is 0 degrees 38.5mins West. 
The height is 20m approximately. Grid reference sk909657 
 
Our location is in an agricultural village on the outskirts of the 
city of Lincoln. 
 
Our observations will be made in our school grounds to the west of  
the building. 
 
Equipment: We use a maximum/minimum thermometer which is kept in the 
Stevensons screen, we have a barometer which is also kept in the Stevenson 
screen, we also have a hygrometer which is also kept in the Stevenson screen, 
we have got a wind gauge that will measure using the Beaufort Scale.
