Dress for
PE/Games
In the interests
of safety it is important that children are appropriately dressed. From
past experience it has been found that for Indoor Lessons the following
clothing is recommended.
All PE clothing should be either dark blue or white.
- Shorts.
- Vest
or T-shirt. (tucked in.)
- Bare
feet for dance or gym.
- Plimsolls,
gym shoes or trainers for high impact work or outside work.
When deciding
clothing for your child please keep the following points in mind:
- Clothing
should be kept as simple as possible:
- Long
clothing can get caught in apparatus, impede movement and cause falls.
- Children
are forbidden to do indoor lessons in stockinged feet, if your child
has a foot infection let them wear plimsolls. If Plimsolls need to be
worn please avoid purchasing black soles as these mark the hall floor
badly.
- The floor
of the School Hall is considered to be suitable for the children to
do indoor activities in bare feet.
- Watches,
jewellery, hairclips etc. should always be removed before any PE. lesson
and are the responsibility of the owners.
N.B. All
garments/property coming into school should be appropriately marked with
your child's name. |
