Events

Welcome to our events page.

In the Spring term we had two big events the first one being Red nose day.

Cinnamon Pepper turned up to entertain the children at lunchtime.

Key stage 1 children performed country dance at our afternoon concert.

The Cabaret Evening

Reported By Ranelagh Rovers. Beginning of the cabaret Evening At quarter past 6 on the 24 of March 99, people started arriving in the school hall for a splendid cabaret evening. By about half past 6 the school hall was full to bursting with around one hundred parents and children in total. There were bowls of a tasty variety of crisps and bottles of coke and lemonade, and a jug of orange squash.

The acts.

The first act was a planet dance performed by class CP years 4 -5 (Our class).

It was about the nine planets forming by the big bang and the different stars and constellations. There were also wacky aliens, who were the funniest part of the dance, and fierce skytroopers that marched around in a horseshoe shaped stage. The second act was Mark Stafford's friend called Ian, Mark Stafford is a brilliant entertainer who visits our school occasionally. Ian peformed marvellous tricks that got both adults and children giggling from start to end. On one of his tricks Ian wanted a voluteer. Instantly everyone suggested our acting headteacher Mr Murray. So he went up through the loud, cheering crowd and approached the magnificent magician. First Ian got out a small finger-chopper (so he said) but Mr Murray's finger was too large for the microscopic hole. Next he pulled out of his mysterious black bag a wrist-chopper (so he said). But yet again his wrist was too large for the hole. Next Ian said "this is getting very annoying. This should fit your wrist. Just kiddin' stick your head in" and with that he pulled a head-chopper out of his black bag, and the brave teacher slipped his head through the hole. His smiley face appeared at the other end, Ian put two carrots at the holes in the bottom of the head-chopper.
