The work on sustainable development will continue enabling our pupils to develop an understanding of their responsibility for
ensuring a sustainable future. Everyone has a part to play in shaping the future and many small projects can together make a big difference.

The work of the Eco Committee continues to enable pupils to share ideas and initiate new projects to benefit the whole school community.

Litter, Paper and Energy Patrols. Gardening Club and Toy Library continue to be run by our pupils for the benefit of the whole school community.

In November 2000 we planted over 300 trees and over 1000 Spring bulbs in the grounds with help from pupils, parents, friends and the Forest of Mercia. We enjoy  watching the trees grow and look forward to the bulbs blooming in the Spring.

In January 2002 we looked  beyond our own locality. Through music we began to learn more about other cultures when we were visited by Winston Lewis.  The visits from artists later in the year gave further opportunities for the children to look beyond the immediate environment.

Recently we have joined the 'Health Promoting Schools' project.

In 2003 and 2004 shall use this project to  help us develop
citizenship linked to our commitment to sustainable development.
