The Eco Committee identified a need to improve play time for pupils. They decided to organise a toy library to be funded by a fee of 50p a term from children wishing to join the scheme. In return for their 50p the children receive a toy library tag which they can exchange for a toy. When they return the toy they get their tag back ready to use on another occasion. The toy library is run on a daily basis by  volunteers from Year 5 and 6.

Space hoppers are popular with all age groups.

Hoops, quoits, balls, skipping ropes, toy cars, bean bags, bat and ball sets,
gymnastic ribbons, clipboards and crayons are amongst the toys available at playtime. The children suggest the additions they would like.

The Eco Committee identified a need for somewhere children could go if their best friend was absent or if they had no one to with whom to play. A circular friendship bench was put on the playground so that any child feeling lonely has somewhere to go. Children check the bench regularly at playtimes and no one is left feeling left out for long. They have suggested it should be painted in bright colours and are looking forward to doing this in the summer

The school 'Friends' Association' supports the playtime activities by providing additional toys and recently have provided
playground markings for games the children can enjoy.
