Spotlight On Recky Carter

When Recky Carter joined Bromsgrove Rovers he was an instant hit. He is a striker of stunning accuracy an a real crowd pleaser. His excellent eye for goal in the box has helped Bromsgrove Rovers win the Bob Lord Trophy 10-2 and the Wocestershire Senior Cup two years on the trot. He has remained loyal to the Greens despite interest from higher leagues. Has been on the books of local rivals Kidderminster Harriers.

Stewart Brighton

Local player who has twice toured Europe with Middlesex Wanderers. He joined Crewe Alexandra straight from school before he joined the, in defence, for his local side.

Stuart Randall

Promising young defender whose season was cut short by a horrific tackle during our home game with Altrincham in which he broke both the bones in his lower leg.

Kevin Richardson

Captain of the club, England non-league International and twice went with the F.A. side abroad last Season.

Nick Clarke

Central Defender now starting his second full season at the club after coming from Mansfield Town.

Craig Gaunt

Rovers most consistent player last season, missing only one league match. A defender who has settled in well since his move from Plymouth.

Chris White

Joined the Club from Alvechurch after the away game at Solihull Borough and made his home debut against Slouugh Town where he kept a clean sheet.

Andy Power

Can play in defence or mid-field. Came from Walsall at the start of last season.

Adie Smith

Another Defender/Midfielder who is a talented individual and a crowd-pleaser

Andy Marlowe

Scorer of last seasons "Goal of the Season" left for Torquay but returned against Macclesfield Town at home.

Richard Gardner

This individual has played his way through the reserve team to play in the Home Defeat by Northwich Victoria.

Symon Burgher

Has played in every position except Goal. David Pleat once tried to sign him before realising he can only play on weekdays

Andy Dale

Signed during the close season from Dudley Town. A striker who was once an apprentice at Birmingham City.

Jon Hunt

Striker, Signed Mid-season and has easily been "the Greens" Best partner for Recky Carter scoring regularly, unlike Andy Dale.

Mark Crisp

Now in his third spell with the "Greens", Mark can play in midfield or as a striker.

Darren Grocutt

Signed from Burton Albion a week before the start of the season, reputedly for a 5 figure fee.

Manager: Brian Kenning

Allthough this is their first season under the new manager, the rovers are playing good football. Some fans dispute the fact that he got the job after Tony Grealish was sacked and the rovers survived relegation after being taken over by Kevin Richardson and John Dyer.
