Democracy in the international context
The third edition of Global express examines democracy in an international context so that pupils will gain a greater insight into the importance of, and their role in, democracy.
The edition gives teachers:
- Background information on what is democracy? Democracy for whom? and Worldwide struggles for Democracy.
- Information to counter myths about democracy.
- Pupil activities: "If I ruled the World..", "What is Deomcracy?" and "Taking Action".
- Suggested activities to extend classroom work.
- A resource list.
