If money has not been collected by 10.40 a.m. it should be taken to the office by a member of staff.

Staff Meetings
Staff meetings are are held each Monday evening from 3.30 p.m. till 4.45 p.m.
Staff drinks
Mrs. Armstrong organises tea and coffee purchases. Children from her class collect the 'tea money' each Thursday.
Registers
Registers are distributed to each class before the morning session, and again before the afternoon session, by the appointed monitors . Junior teachers should send the registers back to the office by 9.05 a.m. in the morning and 1.20 p.m. in the afternoon. Mrs. Watson collects Nursery and Infant registers.
Snacks
Children may bring in savoury snacks or fruit to eat at morning playtime. They are not allowed to bring sweets into school except on special occasions such as birthdays.
Playtimes
Although the children are dismissed from the classrooms staff should help in the general supervision of children until they are in the playground. The children are not allowed to go out until a teacher is in the playground. The heads of department organise the rotas for playground duties.
At the end of playtime/dinnertime the teacher on duty blows the whistle once for the children to stand still and again for the children to walk into their class lines. (Junior children go straight into school, one class at a time. Junior teachers should meet their class by the main entrance and escort them to the classroom). Infant classes are collected from the playground by class teachers at the end of playtimes. Welfare staff take the Infant children back to the classrooms at the end of the dinner break.
Wet Playtimes
The teacher on duty will decide if it is to be a "wet" playtime and should inform other members of staff. Teachers are expected to stay with their class during 'wet playtimes'.
The Field
When the weather is suitable the children will be allowed to play on the school field at dinner times.
First Aid
There is a small first aid kit in each classroom.
Playtime - There is a teacher on duty in the Junior Hall, on a rota basis, each playtime, to deal with first aid. The first aid kit will be brought to the hall by an appointed monitor. If a child is hurt, in the playground, they should be sent to this teacher. If the teacher is concerned about the injury they should speak to Mrs. Midgley, the designated 'first-aider', about the injury. Injuries should be recorded in the accident book which is kept in the First Aid box. When more serious accidents occur the teacher involved in the supervision of the child who has been injured should complete an accident form.
Dinnertime - The Welfare staff take responsibility for minor cuts and bruises which occur at dinner time. They record accidents in an accident book and inform the appropriate class teacher at 1.15 p.m. Miss Shaw, a Welfare Assistant, is also a trained 'first aider'.
If a child bumps his/her head a letter is sent home to his/her parent/guardian concerning the possibility of delayed concussion. Mrs. Midgley has copies of this letter.
P.E.
Infant children have a pump-bag, containing pumps and P.E. kit, which is left in school during term time. Junior children are required to bring in their kit on the days which they have P.E. or games. Mrs. Collier has a supply of kit for children who forget to bring theirs into school. Children who regularly fail to bring kit should be reported to the headteacher.
Extra Curricular Activities
We try to ensure that our children have access to as wide a variety of extra curricular activities as possible. There is a variety of sports clubs and teams, including football, cross country, athletics and rounders.
We also arrange a variety of visits related to the curriculum, and outdoor pursuits week-ends.
Parents
We encourage parental involvement in school life. As well as encouraging parents to support their child's educational development at home they are also encouraged to help in the classroom. Parents are also encouraged to help on school visits.
We hold two Parents Evenings. This year they will be on November 3rd and March 9th. Written reports are given to parents in July.
Absences
If you are unable to attend school please phone school between 8.15 a.m. and 8.45 a.m. If you are absent due to illness, it would be a great help if you could let us know 24 hours in advance of the date you are intending to return.
Requisition - Stock
Stock is kept in the resource area in the cellar. Members of staff may collect resources from this area. If you notice that certain items are running low please inform Mrs. Kiggin or Mrs. Rimmer straight away.
