We are reading a book called The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier. It is about four children who travel fromWarsaw, in Poland, to Switzerland in search of their parents. Based on a true story, The Silver Sword is set in the Second World War. I think that it is a touching story. Three children were running away from their enemies, the Nazis. One has got caught and the other two has befriended a boy named Jan. Jan has the children's, father's penknife which they called the silver sword and it became the symbol of hope and courage through the war. This story tells us what happened in the last World War.
