Pitch of a sound

We are doing an experiment by making rulers vibrate off the edge of a table. We are finding out how to change the 'pitch' of a sound.

To change the pitch of a sound , for example, a ruler, you put it off an edge of a table and press it down.If you want to make a higher sound you make it so there is less of the ruler on the edge of the table. To make a lower sound you put more of the ruler on the edge of the table and press it down.To make a louder sound you press the ruler down hard.To make a quiet sound you only have to press the ruler down softly.

We hear by vibrations travelling through the air.(by Makayla and Gabby)
