(Maths Investigation) 'Happy numbers' : we have to find happy numbers and sad numbers. We start with a 2 digit number, for example, 23. We then have to separater the duguts and square each digit. So for the number of 23, we take 2 and square it, which is 4. We take 3 and square it, which is 9. We then add the two answers together and get 13.
Because we still have a 2 digit number, we repaet the process. So 1 squared is 1, 3 squared is 9, added together they are 10.
Again, we have a two digit number so the process is repeated. 1 squared is 1, 0 squared is 0, added together they are 1.
When we finally have a one digit number, if we arrive at 1, the number is 'happy', if we don't arrive at one then the number is 'sad'.
Our task was to find the happy and sad numbers and try and spot any rules to test out. Some of the processes take many steps. If it doesn't arrive at a one digit number after 6 goes, we add it to our list of unhappy numbers. I am still working on my investigation. (Sarah Rust)

Five Ways Of Getting Your Little Baby Out Of Your Bedroom.
1. Play a game of hide and go seek
Tell her you'll be doing the peek
2. Wave a piece of candy in her face
Then throw it out of the window, she'll be sure to give a chase
3. Drag her out by the dummy
But make sure she does n't cry for her mummy
4. Grab that smelly old sock that you left in your pillow case
Then throw it directly at her grubby little face
5. Grab your fully loaded water gun
That'll put her on the run.

Wednesday 11th November: today the Mayor visited our school. A couple of weeks ago we visited the Mayor's parlour but unfortunately the Mayor had to attend a funeral so we couldn't meet him. We arranged a visit for him to come to scholl so that we could meet him. It was really exciting and asked him lots and lots of questions.

The Computer
The computer is like a brain the size of a mountain,
The informatoin spills out just like a fountain.
The internet is such a dream,
It's just like eating bannanas and cream.
I love to go on the CD ROM,
With the help of my mom.
Typing letters are quite hard,
Making greetings on a card.
It's so big it makes me tired,
To the telephone it is wired.
I love to surf the world wide web,
But now I think I'll have to go to bed.

The Boy Who Came From Swinton
There was a young lad who came from Swinton,
Every one he said he looked like Dale Winton,
His mum said get off your belly
Take your eyes off the tele,
And look more like Bill Clinton.
