Adult Education Courses

Sharnbrook Community College offers a wide variety of classes and courses for adults. At present there are approximately 80 available courses from 'Babysitting' to 'Yoga for men'.

Between 2500 and 3000 adults each year enrol for both recreational and vocational courses. They take place during school time if the timetable allows but most are either evening classes or weekend workshops.

Although most of the courses have already started, there are a few examples below of some of the courses we currently have to offer. It is our intention to put full details of all of our new courses on this page when they are available.

DREAM WORKSHOP (S031B) - learn simple techniques of remembering and analysing dreams and understanding the role they play in our experience.
Saturday 8 March; 9.45am-4.15pm

ENJOY GUITAR (L002B) - from beginners' chords to intricate finger picking.
Wednesdays 10 weeks from 8 January; 7.30-9.30pm
Fees: F-£33.00, S+U-£16.50, U-£5.00

FIRST AID - course run by First Aid instructors leading to the British Red Cross Adult First Aid Certificate.
Tuesdays 12 weeks from 7 Jan; 7.00-9.30pm
Red Cross Fee.

MEXICAN COOKERY (S121B) - spicy and fashionable.
Saturday 1 February; 9.45am-4.15pm

PHOTOGRAPHY (L009B) - disappointed with your holiday snapshots, or want to improve your technique? This course may be for you.
Wednesdays 8 weeks from 22 January; 7.30-9.30pm

WORD FOR WINDOWS (S102B) - these courses will introduce you to the word processor program's use and potential.
Tuesdays 5 weeks from 14 January; 7.30-9.30pm

WRITERS' WORKSHOP (S002B) - we all have tales to tell, let us help you to tell yours well.
Tuesdays 7 weeks from 7 January; 1.15-3.15pm
