South Front of House
This imposing front of the house has five gables four small hipped dormers and wings to either side east and west with chimney stack on the return walls. On the main front elevation there is a two storey ashler porch with two unfluted Ionic pilasters supporting an entablature with a Greek inscription and its translation runs "Let no envious person enter" surmounted by a triangular pediment above a moulded arched doorway with a six light window set above with a further entablature with a Latin inscription/ and its translation runs "The toothless man envies the teeth of those who eat and the mole despises the eyes of the roes".
This is crowned by a triangular pediment with three finials and a carved face in the tympanum.
To the right of the porch there are three two transomed windows and to the left i one two transomed and two one transomed
windows. The mullions on all of the windows are of an unusual kind in an elegant section.
