SHAW House School celebrated success and outlined an exciting future at
an Open Evening for Prospective parents on Thursday. The outstanding achievement
of former pupil Courtney Lane, who gained 9 A* and 2 As in his GCSEs was
commended by David Rendel MP.
Mr Rendel presented Courtney with a book prize (picture above) on behalf
of the Royal County of Berkshire, and told him he had received one of the
best set of results in the county.
During a speech to parents, Bob Mowatt, leader of Berkshire County Council
and newly-appointed chairman of governors at Shaw House, promised to "march
the school towards the Millenium".
A package was unveiled including a bid for Technology Status, modernisation
of the science labs, and a move towards a sixth form.
