Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon. He landed in 1969. The rocket he went up in was the Apollo 11. Apollo 11 took three days to get to the moon and when they got to the moon two men got out of the rocket. Their names were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Adrian. Neil Armstrong said, "That’s one small step for man, one great leap for mankind." There have been six other moon landings since.
