Apollo 13

James Lovell, Ken Mattingly and Fred Haise, before taking off in Apollo 13. Ken Mattingly was removed just days before the flight because he was exposed to measles, and Jack Swiggert (not in the picture) replaces him as command module pilot.

There was a space shuttle called Apollo 13 who’s oxygen tank burst a short time after they went into space, so they had to go back to earth quickly or they would die.
There was another Apollo shuttle called Apollo 1. The fire happened on the launch pad just before the shuttle took off. The shuttle caught fire and the fire killed all three astronauts in the shuttle.

Astronauts Virgil Grissom, Edward White, and Roger Chaffee lost their lives when a fire swept through the Command Module

There was another shuttle called the Challenger. The Challenger blew up 73 seconds after lift off and it killed the crew of seven astronauts. The Challenger disaster happened on the 28th January, 1986.
