According to Aristotle there are three theoretical sciences. They are mathematics, philosophy, and the philosophy of nature (physics). Aristotle was not primarily a mathematician but he used the scientific method from mathematics to excel in the other theoretical sciences.
Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. In 343 B.C. he tutored Alexander the Great. In 335 B.C. Aristotle founded his own school in Athens. He died in 322 B.C.
One of his major contributions to geometry is the theorem that the angle in a semi-circle is a right angle. See proof below:
