Imagine yourself in a time before Nintendo and Sega. Picture yourself
living in ancient Greece with no TV, car, or the technologies of science,
and having no understanding of the cause of natural phenomena that science
has answered today. How would you begin to explain to a civilization of people
who lived close to nature why the
sky is blue or where rain comes from?
Greek mythology provides a fascinating background to Greek history and
how the ancient Greeks saw the world. Greek mythology incorporates elaborate
stories of historical events in which humans become god-like and do things
no other humans can do.
