Mortal men

Athene aided mankind significantly by:

• Inventing the flute, trumpet, pot, plow, rake ox yoke, horse bridle, certain types if ships, and the chariot.
• She taught man the science of numbers.
• She taught women cooking, weaving, and spinning.
• Also as the Goddess of war, she determined the fates of many in combat.
• The people of Athens were given olive trees. In return they dedicated the Parthenon to her.
