This is just some of the food that the Egyptians ate.

The Egyptians ate lots of foods including meat, fish, vegetables (like onions, leeks, turnips and garlic) and fruit (like grapes, figs, dates and pomegranates).
     
A lot of the food that they ate then, we eat now.  Most of the living food was eaten as soon as it was caught, because they had no way of freezing it.
