Working party members, meeting at the beginning of the year,  discussing how they are going to do the task in hand. With:
Margaret Simpson (Foundations advisor)
Andrew Trythall (Beacon Co-ordinator)
 June Stockdale (Reception teacher)
Suzanne Odhams (Reception teacher and KS1 ICT Subject Leader)
Lora Cann (Nursery teacher)
Jane Needle (KS1 ICT Subject Leader)

Sir Robert Hitcham's Primary School wanted to develop ICT in the new Foundation Stages. We also knew that many schools would also be concerned about this issue, so a working party was created with these aims:

To investigate current good practice
To investigate currently available resources
To investigate ways of implementing ICT for the new Curriculum Guidance in the Foundation Stage
Disseminate the findings of the group to interested parties

The working party will meet once or twice a term as a group, depending on need, and release teachers within the working party for investigation in order to reach the aims outlined above. During the summer term, findings will be disseminated through the Internet, and through workshops about discoveries made. There will be three workshops for state reception and nursery teachers, and one for private nurseries. There will also be an option to invite nursery nurses, and learning support assistants.
