The Assembly Hall has been used in the past for dances, plays (see below), by the grammar school for speech days, flower shows and wedding receptions. It was built in 1909. It used to have a sign over the door and there was a glass canopy leading up to the main part of the hall.

The Assembly Hall is no longer in use as is unsafe and the entertainment licence has been taken away.
