Below you can find details of the course provided for creating a school Web Site using Front Page 2000 at Sir Robert Hitcham's Primary School

Aim:

To learn the skills needed in Web design using Front Page 2000, and to apply them in their own school to create a school Web site.

Course Duration:

half day

Method:

There will be three separate one-day training sessions at the SLAMnet computer suite in Sir Robert Hitcham’s Primary School Framlingham in the Summer Term 2001. Places are limited to one teacher from each school. A contribution of £100 will be given towards the cost of supply teachers, if necessary, on completion of a short course evaluation sheet. Each school attending will be provided with a FREE copy of Front Page 2000, which comes on CDROM, and a one-user license (usual cost approximately £39).

Programme:

9.15 – 9.30 Arrival and coffee/tea

9.30 – 10.00 Welcome and introduction. Front Page 2000 overview

10.00 – 11.30 Creating Pages – Borders – Navigation – Themes

11.30 – 11.45 Coffee/tea break

11.45 – 1.00 Editing pages – creating folders – using pictures and tables

1.00 – 1.45 lunch – please bring a packed lunch.

1.45 – 3.15 Adding new pages – FTP – copyright – email and external links

The course will be lead by Andrew Trythall, who has been using Front Page to design Web sites for the last two years. Course notes will be provided, which will also be available through the Sir Robert Hitcham Web Site.
