This painting dates from 1770. The Raja's face is in profile. His large moustache and large red turban show he's from Rajasthan. There are quite a lot of amusing details - attendants on foot carry various objects:

a mace (the front attendant)

a tether (a lead for the horse)

a leafy branch

a picnic carpet

one attendant is running alongside with the huqqa so the Raja can smoke as he rides.
