A wooden block used for printing cloth. The blocks have different patterns. You can see here a repeating mango pattern across the top and the bottom of the block. Blocks such as this are common in Rajasthan. The block is dipped into the printing colours and placed by hand on the cloth. The cloth workers very quickly fill up a row on the cloth. |
