In PE we have been dancing to a piece of music called Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, which you can hear playing now. It is all about Gladiators Fighting in Roman times. The music has a quiet bit and a loud bit.

The two Gladiators are called Secutor and Retarius. We are pretending to be the Gladiators. Secutor is the one with the sword, helmet and shield. Retarius is the one with net, trident and armour on one of his arms.

On the first bit of the music we walk in, then we turn to face each other and stay still. After that we circle each other, next we take it in turns defending and fighting each other. When we walk in we have to make a serious face because we are going to fight. When we fight it looks like we are grabbing each other or tripping each other up with our foot.

I  like  the  bit  when  one died  and  I  was  circling  him. I  liked  the  bit where   we  both  joined  together fighting like in the bottom picture.
In the picture it shows two people in two fighting position. They kept changing over  from one position to the other position. One person had to attack and the other person  had to defend.

My favorite part of the dance was when I stuck the sword in  my fiend. The music directed are moves .It was terrifying  when class CL  came to watch us at the end.
