On 13th April
2000, four harpists came into school to give a performance to us. There
were 2 children aged 11 and 2 adults, 1 aged 16. The instruments were
three harps and 1 violin. Sometimes a few of the musicians had to sit to
the side while the others played their instruments. |
| The musicians
were from London but they like to have a holiday in Aldeburgh. While they
are there, they have half time playing the harp and half time doing
holiday things. The oldest harp was made in about 1818 and the cheapest
harp costs between £5000 and £6000.
We thought that the music
was very good and we would like to hear them play again.

Amy. |
