Cynthia's Visit to class AT

Cynthia is a Jamaican lady who lives in Ipswich and she came in to talk about Jamaica to us so we would have a better idea of what Jamaica's like. She was wearing traditional Jamaican clothes which she had made. She was wearing a skirt, a top, and a head scarf that are made out of Calico which is a sort of cotton cloth.

The way you would put your head scarf on is you would get the piece of material, fold it in half, and tie it round your head, then tuck it in so it doesn't fall off your head. Her clothing was stripy and very colourful which is what Jamaican people would wear. In Jamaica, because it's very hot, people would usually wear short sleeves and they would wear very colourful clothing.

The tune playing is Jammin by Bob Marley
